I am a passionate and motivated instructor who loves working with students and sharing my love of music. I have played piano/keyboard and clarinet my entire life. In 2014, I helped lead my marching band to the semi finals. I have had the opportunity to play at the Christian Asbury Universitys Akers Auditorium, as well as the University of Kentuckys Singletary Center for the Arts in Lexington, Kentucky. I am a graduate of Stetson University's prestigious School of Music and clarinet studio, where I pursued my Bachelor's in Clarinet Performance with a minor in Business Administration. My first teaching was in summer music schools, then as an intermediate classroom teacher and music specialist (bands, choirs, musicals, folk dances, recorder, ukulele, classroom music and theory). I earned my Masters and began teaching university but have always taught privately as well. I work with parents to encourage the student to be self-motivated, so I make lessons fun. While I was in student at Roosevelt University I won audition for Civic orchestra of Chicago. While I was in Civic orchestra I played as a soloist with the Chicago Symphony orchestra ( Mozart Sinfonia Concertante for Four Winds). After graduating from Roosevelt University I won 2nd/ e-flat clarinet position in South Bend Symphony orchestra. In 2013-14, 2014-15, I got two one year positions playing second clarinet with Chicago Lyric Opera orchestra. Read More
