Our music lesson students will have the opportunity to take lessons from the comfort of their own home or in one of the teachers studios. Careful attention is placed on each student to ensure a custom lesson plan. Our music teachers understand that every student has different needs and abilities and therefore the lessons will be planned with that knowledge in mind.

Learning a musical instrument should always be a very rewarding and satisfying experience. Therefore, I have a large variety of techniques in my musical bag of tricks to challenge all types of learners. During my 10 years as a full time band director, I have developed many musical "games", often based on Suzuki methods, to make learning fundamentals, scales, and repertoire much more enjoyable. When I start teaching new student I usually use Sergey Rozanoffs method and also my fathers Sergey Gutorov senior methods on both instruments clarinet and saxophone. Usually with a beginners for the first few lessons I start solfge and music theory and later continue introducing instrument. It is very important for woodwind players to learn from very beginning how to use air and embouchure right way. I have played in many ensembles including the Marching Wildcats, the symphonic and concert bands of Bethune-Cookman, Interlochen Arts Camp (Interlochen, MI) Staff Recital, the South Florida Symphonic Band, various Alumni ensembles as well as toured a summer in the United Kingdom as a street performer. My style is to understand the needs of the student first and only then decide how to approach our lessons. Everybody needs to go at a different pace and not all students need the same things. I like to see my students become proficient sax players but I feel that the job is only complete when they become good musicians. I opened my clarinet studio while in college. Over the next decade, my studio grew to over 40 students. It was a diverse studio with clarinetists of all levels and ages! I am excited to be teaching privately, and building my studio again, here in Florida! Lessons with me will be a good mix of work and fun.
