Our music lesson students will have the opportunity to take lessons from the comfort of their own home or in one of the teachers studios. Careful attention is placed on each student to ensure a custom lesson plan. Our music teachers understand that every student has different needs and abilities and therefore the lessons will be planned with that knowledge in mind.

I am excited to teach music, especially instruments in the brass category! I am graduating from Pensacola Christian College with a Bachelor of Arts in Interdisciplinary Studies and my two areas of focus are Music Performance and Education. While in college I performed in symphonic band, chamber concert, and a senior performance recital. My first teaching was in summer music schools, then as an intermediate classroom teacher and music specialist (bands, choirs, musicals, folk dances, recorder, ukulele, classroom music and theory). I earned my Masters and began teaching university but have always taught privately as well. I work with parents to encourage the student to be self-motivated, so I make lessons fun. In March 2011, I was the guest artist at the High School for the Performing and Visual Arts Spring Jazz Festival in Houston, TX. I have had the opportunity to perform extensively across the United States and Europe and have performed at many of New York's premier live music venues such as The Blue Note, Birdland, and The Knitting Factory. I love to see students succeed. Yet they deserve to be challenged appropriately, they should be proud of their progress and still have fun. So I learn the students style of learning and pace then adjust the approach and music I will have for them. I constantly acknowledge any and all improvements , and welcome mistakes. Learning a musical instrument should always be a very rewarding and satisfying experience. Therefore, I have a large variety of techniques in my musical bag of tricks to challenge all types of learners. During my 10 years as a full time band director, I have developed many musical "games", often based on Suzuki methods, to make learning fundamentals, scales, and repertoire much more enjoyable.
