If the students already had books from prior music instructor, we pick up from the last lessons after answering questions to make sure the students thoroughly understand the previous lessons from the previous chapters. For beginning students, I've used the Mel Bay's modern bass and guitar methods, James Bastien piano library, Essential Elements for wind instruments, Advanced Rock drumming and Master theory books by Charles S. For beginning woodwind students, I start with Hal Leonard's Essential Elements or whatever the student's school band book is. Once the student knows how to read music and can play enough notes, I like to introduce scales. This provides a good foundation for moving on to duets and solo pieces, which are more enjoyable to play. I am a clarinet teacher and performer with many years of experience who highly skilled at promoting creative expression among students of all ages. In 2009, I graduated from Roosevelt University ( orchestral studies program). Prior coming to the US in 2007 I graduated from Moscow State Classical Academy Maimonid ( Masters degree). In 2004, while I was in school I won an Associate Principal clarinet position with the Moscow Symphony Orchestra.
