Notable achievements include securing 1st Prize in the 2017 Arnuero International Chamber Music Competition, the 2013 Eastman School Concerto Competition, and the 2013 American Protege International String and Piano Competition. I have taught students from beginner to advanced levels, from age 9 to adult. I have taught face-to-face in studio lessons, and also through online lessons. Each week at the end of their lesson, my students and I will sit down without the cello and discuss everything that they learned and everything that they need to work on for their next lesson. Together, we set small realistic goals and acknowledge accompishments with small rewards in order to nurture and embolden each student. I am very flexible with my teaching methods and put together the best style matching the student's learning strengths. Furthermore, I update and change my methods if I feel the current method is becoming ineffective. First and foremost for both 'cellists and pianists is to learn the notes with flashcards so that the student will not be thinking of every note they need to "find" but it will be so automatic that all the student has to do is bring out their musicality through the pieces.
