I am an instructor that have great passion for teaching, and believes that everyone should have the chance to learn an instrument, no matter the age. I started playing the Violin in 2004, Viola in 2009 and Piano in 2011. I graduated with a Bachelor in Music Performance specializing in Violin in 2015 from Barry University in Miami Shores. My cello instruction is separated by levels and books. Level 0-1 is in Hal Leonard's Essential Elements books 1 and 2. Level 1-2 is Rick Mooney's Position Pieces Book 1, as well as sheet music and books outside of that method book. Level 2-3 is Rick Mooney's Position Pieces Book 2 and sheet music, and 3+ will be Rick Mooney's Thumb Position books. I am excited to begin teaching music. Along with my experience as a classroom teacher, I have also tutored English to ESOL students. As a tutor, I assigned homework regularly and kept students accountable by checking for completion and accuracy. When it comes to learning how to play an instrument, the importance of practicing regularly on one's own cannot be emphasized enough. Uniquely, I have helped on movie sets to make actors "look" like musicians. I do train stunt-doubles for the accuracy of the filmed scenes. I have played on albums for studio work and have composed my own music, and support improvisation.
