I started teaching private cello and piano lessons shortly thereafter and continued to do so through college. After graduation, teaching music truly became my passion. After focusing on such a singular goal, I began to see what this amazing instrument can do. I started teaching privately in 2004, and have been doing so in either my own studio or in the studios of others ever since.. In 2013, I started contracting with the Anaheim City School District to teach string classes in their after-school music program. Since moving to Texas, I have started orchestra programs at two different schools in Dallas county, while continuing to build my own studio. For all my cello students, I start with 170 Foundation Studies and a modified Suzuki Method (Cello). Once my students reach Suzuki book 4, then they can start playing Bach Suites, and other intermediate repertoir. The Bach Suites, however, are what most of my cello students are interested in learning. For piano students, I use the Bastien piano series by Neil Kjos. I want my students to be interested and engaged, and coach them through basics while also trying to find pieces or genres they want to play. Read More

For bass guitar I use the Mel Bay Bass Guitar Method which takes a student from creating rocking bass lines to building kicking bass licks from chord changes.Double Bass students will have classical training, techniques to build a solid, warm tone, use of the bow, and orchestral repertoire, including solo pieces. Im a devoted music educator who cares about my students personal growth and development as musicians. In 2010 I graduated from Evangel University with a Bachelors of Music Education degree with a concentration in strings. I have performed all over the U.S. in my collegiate touring orchestra and even had the opportunity to go to Europe and perform there as well.
