Since my first student I taught in 2004, through the days I taught at a music school, up right on to the present moment, I love passing the music onward as it was passed to me. There are multiple singers and each of them sings in a different vocal range. The band has to, at each practice, transpose the key and chords of the song to whatever feels most comfortable for the singers. Now, I can't entirely trust in my ears because I don't know the songs very well, so I have to trust in my musicianship to get me through the session.
