My biggest goal is for the student to make beautiful music they like to make, and I believe that enjoying the music is the best way to make that happen. Supplemented by music programs through my schooling, I progressed rapidly on upright bass, starting at age 15, and graduating with a Bachelor's Degree in Music Performance. Starting in high school I began teaching students as young as 6 and as old as 65, providing in-home guitar and bass lessons. My personal preference is not to adhere too strictly to any one method however, instead focusing on the application of theory within a more active musical context. My teaching experiance has been mainly one one one. I've never given group lessons mainly because you can't totally focus on the student when there are several people involved. The best teaching/learning situation is the individual lesson where the focus is on one person. All my lessons are with one individual.
