I've been teaching music for more than 12 years now. I can honestly say that I enjoy teaching and sharing my knowledge of music. I use the basic popular songs that would include most pop songs with easy chords to learn the shapes for quick memorization and playing enjoyment. Those chords like G -C-D-D minor- A - A minor- are relatively simple to learn and transition between. My teaching philosophy emphasizes and promotes that the student has fun and develops a love for music and the instrument that they play. The way that I do this is by placing an emphasis on music the student enjoys, and by giving the student a fair amount of autonomy in choosing their repertoire they would like to learn. I developed a lesson plan and began teaching. I have taught both beginners and advanced players but most of my students have been just starting out.
