My teaching style is unique because it revolves around having fun with music. I believe that more traditional forms of teaching can be too dull or too urgent, leading to disinterest. Once you become disinterested, you're far more likely to quit - and I don't want you to quit! Learning to play an instrument is one of the most fulfilling accomplishments that a person can achieve, no matter the age or skill level. Read More

Adapting to a student's needs is one of the fastest ways to stimulate passion and progression. I try to be as adaptive as possible regarding each student's needs, interests, strengths, and weaknesses. I genuinely care for each student I teach, not only as a musician, but also as a person. I also like to keep my students in a constant state of listening and learning, always discovering new music and learning new songs. Read More

For beginning students who are children, I typically start with Hal Leonard's Essential Elements. For adults, I try to find out what the student is interested in, and guide my instruction accordingly to keep the lessons engaging and fun, no matter their ability level. I access their skills after a handful of lessons and adjust to their needs going forward for them to continue to advance as musicians. Read More
