My love of music gos back to when I was a child. I was lucky enough to have support and encouragement through my parents and friends. I was fortunate being exposed to all kinds of music as a high school student in the early 90's. I went to Berklee College of music in Boston, MA from 1996-1997. I transferred to Hartwick College in Oneonta, NY fall 1997. This is where I got to study with Al Gallodoro and developed a love for contemporary classical music. Read More

I have been teaching for over ten years to students of all ages. I first started at a local music store in Weymouth, MA when I was going to college. I cater each lesson to each individual students needs. The thing that I love about teaching private lessons is that each and every student is different. What drove you to want to learn your instrument? Who inspires you? I look forward to learning all these things and MORE about you! Read More

Every student has different goals in their music lessons. I aim to create a fun and safe learning environment that doesn't put unnecessary pressure on students. No matter what one teaches, the burden to learn ultimately lies on the student. I believe what truly makes a great teacher is the ability to invoke interest in the given topic, so that the student wants to learn more! I strive to help my students find the same joy I get from music and desire to practice/learn more. Read More

I always start with what the student is interested in. I find that learning music comes much more naturally when the student is inspired and entertained by what they are trying to learn. I come from a long tradition of learning music by ear. I believe this is the best way to develop true musicality. While I very much see the value in sheet music, I believe that reading music without being about to play it by ear is like being about to write and write but not speak and understand English.
