Nothing is more rewarding than seeing one of my students develop a passion for music. It's important that each of my students progress at his or her own pace. I never understood why my teacher was so passionate about teaching me operatic techniques, but now as an adult, I can appreciate the versatility that learning opera gave me. I went on to be a part of the Rhode Island Children's Chorus, learning from Dr. Christine Noel. Eventually, in my high school years, I became an apprentice with the chorus and began teaching. I break down the overall goal to a small step that is doable for the student. I am nice and patient with students, meanwhile, I insist on they accomplishing my instruction. My teaching experience began in college when I tutored other music majors in music theory. I then went in to become a Choral teacher for grades 6-12. I taught privately for the past 25 years, teaching those grade levels and then began teaching senior citizens almost 10 years ago. Im currently a worship director for a church in the Leesburg area where I work with people of all ages.
