Since I have a variety of instruments and style I teach and since the needs of each student are different, I structure my materials and teaching methods for the individual. I particularly enjoy teaching beginners and young children. I've taught piano from many books including John Thompson books and Hal Leonard Series. Practicing also teaches us how to be patient and doing it efficiently leading to success. Read More

I am student-oriented teacher. I would like the student to explain their goals to me and we will work as a team to achieve those goals. This involves choosing the music to be studied. I have plenty of ideas for beginners who want help with choosing books. Then as lessons progress, student goals can be plugged I to instruction, no matter what music they are playing or singing. I encourage students to play for family and friends, and participate in music education events. Read More

Range can be developed as the vocal mechanism develops, but this will all be made easier with a solid support structure. For intermediate singers, I work on freeing the voice and allowing the natural vibrato (or 'spin') to come through. Read More
