I am passionate about giving back to this art form that has given so much to me. I specialize in classical voice and have recently finished my education. I have experience singing professionally in operatic productions, as a soloist in concerts and recitals, in choirs and churches. I have also enjoyed singing in smaller venues for children and senior citizens. In a short time, I realized how deeply I loved working one on one with students, which led me to pursue performance full time and teach in my private studio. My method varies depending on the student. If the student wants a traditional musical approach, and is interested in learning notation and theory, then we will usually start with the Hal Leonard Book Series. If the student doesn’t want to learn notes or the more advanced musical concepts, I usually just start by teaching them simple songs that they know from the radio, TV Shows or movies. For Voice I cater my teaching to the student's goals and aspirations. The first 10-15 minutes of a lessons are spent doing vocal warmups and sightsinging exercises. The remaining time is spent working on repertoire that the student and myself choose together. For Piano I work out of the Faber Piano Adventure Books.
