We all have a tendency to be against nature. it is very important to find the right voice teachers for ourselves like finding the right physicians for ourselves who are able to help our problems and to learn about our body by nature. For the selections of song and operatic arias, I let the students select for themselves at first and I will advise them to try out the appropriate selections of song and arias for them to develop their ability to feel comfortable to sing with joy and accomplishments eventually. I enjoy watching students progress and improve. It brings joy to them and myself. Playing guitar or bass for me is a form of art therapy/meditation. It's a place where one can lose themselves and activate/stimulate the brain unlike any other engagement as the brain is simultaneously multi-tasking when playing an instrument. I've helped clients get past obstacles in their abilities and philosophy about the guitar/bass and music in general. Read More

My mission is to help each student create a healthy sound rooted in the body, which, coupled with a solid breathing technique, creates an easy, effortless and dynamic tone. From the very first lesson, I teach a fudamental warm-up that addresses the physical, breathing and vocal, and which the student can use for the rest of their singing career. Once that's in place, I spend the remaining time tailoring the lesson itself to the individual student's needs; this may be focusing on breathing one day, while focusing on resonating the next. Seven years ago my career as a musical theatre actor led me into the world of teaching and for that, I could not be more grateful. I have a great deal of experience working as both a voice teacher and a musical theatre teaching artist. As a voice teacher I have taught with Kathryn Brickell Music, Acting Out- Brooklyn's Premiere Acting School, as well as my own private studio. I also work as a musical theatre teaching artist with Inside Broadway, Camp Broadway, and New York City Children's Theatre. Read More

For piano beginners, I generally start with the Faber method books, but I always supplement with other books or pieces that are tailored to the students abilities and interests. There will be short pieces to practice at home which can be mastered in a week or two, and frequently there will be longer challenge pieces that will be worked on for several weeks with the goal of giving the student a piece they will enjoy playing for themselves or for friends and family. I have been teaching music for 15 years, during this time I have been able to understand the diversity of paste in which we all learn. My purpose is to inspired and challenge my students so that they can find their own voice and style, during my classes we find out what the best way to achieve our goals is by working hard, having fun and creating a musical relationship. My lessons are an interaction between myself and the student where I point out their strengths and weaknesses, an environment of love and patience where music serves us as the medium for growth.
