Some of the highlights included Ado Annie in Oklahoma and the soloist for “Get all Excited” in Godspell. I also participated in local theater groups in Pennsylvania such as Civil Theater in Allentown, Pennsylvania Playhouse in Bethlehem and The Barn Playhouse in Norristown, Pa.. This experience prepared me for my next adventure; auditioning for Wagner College in New York as a theater major. In my lessons the most important thing to relax, have fun and express yourself. I let students pick which song they like and let them add a piece of their vision of the song. While I am happy to help set some basic goals and will assign work to do outside of our lessons, I believe that long term goals are our own. I have recently learned bass guitar as well. I encourage students to practice at least 20-30 minutes a day because even that little amount of time makes all the difference. I also love to incorporate creativity in my lessons with songwriting and improvisation. I also encourage students to participate in recitals as well.
