I always start with a strong Classical Foundation, and also specialize in Musical Theatre and Contemporary Styles. Some students love classical music, and we work on Italian arias...while others love 80s Metal Bands, and we work on healthy ways to approach contemporary music. A student must be comfortable enough to take the risks that are necessary to grow as a musician. Sometimes those risks will result in what seems to be a failure. I try to reinforce the idea that it is not a failure because you tried, what can we use from that experience to get closer to what you were trying to accomplish next time. When students feel like musicians it fosters a greater sense of ownership and accomplishment bringing the joy needed to advance exponentially. I am a motivated teacher and performer who loves to create beautiful art and help others develop a love for music. I am currently pursuing my Masters degree in Vocal Performance from the University of Oklahoma. In 2012, I graduated from the University of Tulsa with a Bachelor of Music degree in Vocal Performance.
