My teaching experience began in 2008, when I began teaching private lessons on various instruments, on voice, and on conducting. I later went on to teach band and choir at Cedar Bluff High School in 2011. After this, I volunteered as the band director at Valley Head High School in 2014. I have enjoyed every moment of teaching music and have taken so much from the experiences that I've had. During that time I was given the opportunities to sing with some wonderful groups including Kentucky Opera Chorus, Cardinal Singers, Early Music Ensemble, and Choral Arts Society. Since moving to Colorado in 2016, I have sang with multiple quartets and ensembles, including St Martin's Chamber Choir, Gaudium Verum, Anima Chamber Ensemble as well as continuing to teach music in an individual and/or choral setting. Lessons are geared to the individual student. I try to provide a warm and friendly atmosphere while providing a professional experience for the students. Theory is emphasized as well as technique for both the piano and voice student. Most voice students will get a basic knowledge of music reading skills while piano students tend to have a bit more in depth studies.
