I am a passionate performer and instructor, and I love working with students of all ages. I recently graduated with my Bachelor of Fine Arts in Musical Theatre from Shenandoah University, where I am currently pursuing my Masters of Music in Vocal Pedagogy with a Contemporary Commercial Music emphasis. The goal of good vocal technique is to provide the singer with the tools to express themselves artistically with complete freedom. This freedom of vocal expression is built upon a few basic principles: an efficient breathing process, proper posture, coordinated bodily support, efficient phonation, and an open or relaxed throat. There are countless physical and psychological barriers that singers encounter which interrupt these qualities, and it is the responsibility of the voice teacher to identify those obstacles and provide the student with affirmative solutions to overcoming them. I love singing and I love teaching. I've taught voice off and on since 2002. My studio has included students from EVERY age bracket, ages 6- 70 and I've truly enjoyed each! When not teaching singing, I've taught elementary music preK-8, directed junior high choir and musicals, taught kindergarten and tutored students K through college. I love performing and have been soloist in many classical pieces including Vivaldi's Gloria, Hayden's Little Organ Mass and several works by Mozart. Read More

As a performing singer I have been very fortunate to have performed in many of the great concert halls of the world, including Carnegie Hall, Avery Fischer Hall, Lincoln Centre, The Barbican and the Royal Albert Hall in London. I have also sung Countertenor roles with many opera companies in the USA and the UK.
