I began taking piano lessons when I was about four years old and voice lessons when I was seven. I was involved in Certificate of Merit for voice and for piano. I studied music at UC Santa Cruz and graduated in 2012. I was exposed to many contemporary pieces and had a wonderful experience in a small but strong department. I learned to play several instruments along the way but came to playing guitar as my primary instrument because of its versatility and portability. I have been teaching private voice for three years, and feel like I truly thrive when I'm sharing my knowlege of music and performance. At Colorado State University I taught a to wide range of students and styles from freshmen voice majors, choral conducting graduate students, theater majors, voice minors, and even a couple aspiring folk/country singers! I also taught a Fundamentals of Music Theory course to over 100 non-music majors, covering reading music, piano basics, intro to harmony, the physics of music and the psychology of music. Read More

I began teaching about 10 years ago, in 2010, after getting into my undergraduate studies for music performance. I have taught all levels and in many different settings: To-date I have taught ages 6 through 65.
