Our music lesson students will have the opportunity to take lessons from the comfort of their own home or in one of the teachers studios. Careful attention is placed on each student to ensure a custom lesson plan. I grew up studying the violin and piano intensively, and eventually decided the violin was the instrument I wanted to focus on. Performing has always been a love of mine, but in the past few years I have found that my true passion lies in teaching. My music backround goes back to my pre-teen days with a toy guitar and singing in front of my second grade class. Formal training began in junior high with the saxophone which continued through high school and my college years at Fairleigh Dickinson University. I became interested in the guitar and played with many groups and ensambles. Then became interested in the violin and fell in love with it. Through my music career so far, I have performed at various notable venues across the country such as The Viper Room (Los Angeles), Hotel Cafe (Los Angeles), Harvelle's - Long Beach (Long Beach), The Knitting Factory (Brooklyn), Uncommon Ground (Chicago), among many others. I also do events and was a regularly featured live violinist doing improv with the DJs at Sunstruck Sundays in 2014 on the rooftop of the Gansevoort Hotel - Meatpacking in NYC. Read More

My music career started at the age five. I started small group piano lessons and theory classes. I continued lessons through elementary school and would perform at recitals. In the third grade I joined my school district's orchestra. My instrument of choice was the violin. I played in the orchestra until I graduated from elementary school and started private lessons in high school. My high school did not have an orchestra so I joined the concert band and started playing the flute. Read More

The approach, overall, is to drive toward the student's goal. When someone wants to learn how to play an instrument well enough to play in a band or orchestra, I usually consider two needs - playing music and interpreting written music. These are basic parts of education, literally easy to define by achieving pages in etude books.
