For beginning students who are children. I typically start with Suzuki Violin Book or Hal Leonard's Essential elements. Once the students has progressed to have a grasp of the fundamentals, I will begin to introduce some repertoire they can perform. For adults, I try to find out what music the students are interested in and as teaching basic skills, I will teach music what they would like to perform. For very young beginning students, I usually start with Shirley Givens' Adventures in Violinland. After some time, I like to switch to the Suzuki books to encourage training their ears. Each student is very different, and I cater and switch method books based on each student's individual need. For all ages, I encourage them to listen to violinists they enjoy on YouTube, and choose pieces they want to learn. Even if what they choose is a challenge, I believe they will be more inspired to work hard to learn the piece if they chose it. Read More

I want the students to understand how their instrument works by demystifying the mechanics. I’m a passionate and motivated instructor who loves working with students and sharing my love of music. In 2003,I graduated from Tchaikovsky Music School, where I studied violin pedagogy and performance. In 2008, I graduated from the Komitas State Conservatory of Armenia with honors (with Masters degree in Violin Performance. Performing all over the world has been one of the greater experiences of my life as a musician, and I’ve had opportunity to play at many well known concert venues of The USA,include Carnegie Hall, David H.Coch Theater, The Kennedy Center Opera House,Microsoft Theater ,as well touring the world with hundreds of concerts as the concertmaster,associate concertmaster of ShenYun Performing Arts And much bigger ShenYun Symphony .from 2011 to 2013 I worked as member of Armenian National Philharmonic Orchestra,and participated in all international festivals and concerts of the orchestra, during that time period I had opportunity to work under the batton of many Great conductors including Christopher Warengreen, Eduardo Topchjian, Karen Durgarian, And had opportunity to work with soloists such as Pinchas Zukerman, Daishin Kashimoto, Maxim Vengerov,Isabelle Faust, Michell Legrand And others in 2012 I participated at I,Culture Festival and toured around Europe ,and that gave me chance to collaborate with such great musicians and teachers as Marshal Marcus, Claire Thompson, in 2005- I was one of the founder members of State Youth Orchestra of Armenia and toured with the orchestra around Europe,in 2007 the orchestra became a member of European Union of Youth orchestras as well the official orchestra of world known Aram Khachaturian competition.
