My teaching experience dates back to my school days, as I began teaching private lessons part time ,from 2003,and have been consistently teaching students in my home and at students homes, for the last 10 years. Encouraging regular practice on a consistent schedule is one of the key points I like to emphasize for the younger students, as it tends to help the student progress. For beginner students, I like to work on positioning the instrument, proper bow hold, and simple string crossing exercises. A great beginners book is the quick steps to note reading. I believe beginner students should be practicing with this book every day. When they are ready to start learning pieces, I really like to use the Suzuki books. This works for both young beginners and adult beginners. For students who are more advanced, I am adamant about them practicing scales and etudes. Read More

Hello! My name is Julia and I'm an NYC-based actor/musician. I graduated in 2015 from Shenandoah Conservatory with a BFA in Acting. I'm also a proud National Theatre Institute and Moscow Art Theater alumna. In 2017, I completed my year and a half run with the Broadway National Tour of Once the Musical as the female swing, understudying: Girl (piano), Rza (violin) and Ex-Girlfriend (violin).
