Not all students learn the same way, and it is my job as a teacher to be flexible and apply different teaching methods and styles based on the needs of an individual student. This process takes time, and I prefer to work with new students consistently and regularly during the first few months to establish a relationship, discover their individual passion for music and find their unique learning style. I'm an ardent and compassionate instructor who enjoys sharing the gift of music with children and adults. Music enriches the communities in which we live and expands our capacity to connect with humanity. I studied privately with Philip J. Teibel of the Buffalo Philharmonic from childhood through High School. I toured the Southeast US with the Oberlin College Choir and Orchestra in college. Since graduation, I've had the opportunity to perform with numerous ensembles including: Soulful Symphony and the Baltimore Symphony at Meyerhoff Symphony Hall and Strathmore Music Center in North Bethesda. I have had the opportunities to study music with top professors across Asia, Europe and the United States. This has brought me valuable perspectives of different musical styles, practice methods and systems. My primary goal is for people to have fun while learning music. I believe that you can never teach someone something they have no interest in learning and I'm most committed to making sure that students at all levels are excited about what they are doing. I am a graduate of the Boston z conservatory with a degree in both violin and piano. I have oergormed at thr White House numerous times and in additionition have performed at Carnegie Hall, Kennedy Center, Paris, London, Wales, Rome,Moscow, St. Petersburg, the Vatican for the Pope amongst many other places. I was first violinist in the Washington Symphony and concertmaster of the National Medical Group. I have on many tours as concertmaster and have taken students to also perform. Read More

Over my years of teaching, I have learned that music is such an incredible outlet for my students to express themselves. Especially for younger students, it gives them a way to show their emotions when words are not enough. I enjoy watching my students grow as musicians and learn to articulate different concepts with confidence.
