I have a lot of experience with curriculum development. My favorite books to teach from include Accent on Achievement, Alfred's Piano Book series and Essential Elements. However I can teach without a book on any instruments and compose assignments as I have done in the past. As a lifetime fiddler player and music historian, I provide a cultural and and musicological background to a wide array of folk traditions in the U.S. and throughout the world. I focused on piano but eventually went on to accompany choirs and violin. After graduating from Silla University, I continued teaching both violin and piano lessons in the United States. I enjoys teaching children and encourages lots of parental involvement. I use performance as a tool for motivation by having students put on in-home and group recitals often.
