I have been teaching for almost 20 years and have taught people as young as four years old to amateur adults, as well as from beginners to highly advanced pre-conservatory students, and people from all different backgrounds. It is important to encourage regular and consistent practice time during the week in between lessons so we can use our lesson time most productively and make your learning experience more enjoyable. Effective music education is both developmentally and culturally appropriate: By working with the student to understand their interests, I hope to provide them with an experience that will enrich their musical and social life outside of the work we do together. Through infancy, I believe Music Learning Theory is effective for developing musical and linguistic skills. I have held concertmaster and associate concertmaster positions in my youth orchestras, as well as my orchestra at New York University. In doing so I have been able to use my experiences to lead others with patience and confidence. Among those I privately tutor, I was able to teach a diverse population of students, including students with special needs.
