I graduated from UNC-SA through both their highschool and collegiate programs. After earning my violin performance degree I continued to travel around the United States and Japan, teaching violin everywhere i went. Music is my biggest passion and something I love sharing with my students. I first began taking music lessons at the age of nine and quickly took to piano. A few years later I also began studying the violin. At a young age I fell in love with music and its ability to express emotion and connect people. This is what I hope to pass on to my students. I use a variety of different methods and I tailor my curriculum to each individual student, offering you a personalized approach that is unique to your personality and learning style. I teach repertoire from the Suzuki Violin School and Barbara Barber's Solos for Young Violinists, I also like to incorporate other styles if the student is interested, such as fiddle and bluegrass, and even pop and Disney songs. I also use etude and scale books to help build and enhance certain techniques, such as Wolfhart Etudes, Barber Barber Scales for Young Violinist, Carl Flesch Scale System, etc., depending on the level and individual needs of the student. I use Suziki Violin Method, Bastian for piano. I have also been developing my own method, and it's dependant in the students agenda. I encourage the building of reperatore early on. I have also used Liytle Einstein piano method and varies products produced by Hal Leonard. I find the students goals are very formative to the approach I choose to take.
