I'm a classically trained violinist, violist and pianist. I received my Bachelors degree and Masters Degree in Music from Florida International University's School of Music. I currently perform and teach around the Greater Miami area, and have had the opportunity to share my music all the way to Israel, Ireland, and Cuba. I have been teaching music for almost 10 years and have experience with a wide age group. My first experience teaching was during the summer when I began instructing swim lessons for the town pool. I quicly began to seek out a way to teach music before I was in college and built a small studio of beginner cellists in my home town. I also began performing in both classical and other styles during this time, something I continue to do today. For beginning adults I try to determine exactly what they are wanting to achieve by starting an instrument at this point in life. I motivate my students by being interactive.With children who are new to music, I use my personal method, which is characterized by providing knowledge while playing interactive games, which helps the children grasp music-related issues. With the older students, I try to inspire them by playing duets, accompanying them, and placing emphasis on a variety of repertoire.
