I have two main philosophies I base my teaching method on, regardless of age, skill level, or genre. 1) Fundamentals are extremely important, and 2) Music is an aural experience. I currently teach elementary general music and 4th/5th grade band lessons in a Brooklyn public school-the New York City Department of Education.
