First, the beginning of the book shows a picture of a Trumpet showing all of its parts, valves and slides giving the student a good idea of the instrument. I hold a Master's Degree in Trumpet Performance from Long Island University C.W Post and a Bachelor's Degree in Music Education K-12 from Manhattanville College. I am in my third year as the Director of local High School Marching Band as well as a sitting member of the New York State Field Band Conference Executive Council as a Representative. After graduating from college I joined the Peace Corps. I spent 2 years in Tehran, Iran playing in the Tehran Symphony Orchestra. I returned to the U.S. and went back to school to get my Masters degree. I worked as a music teacher in the Bronx, N.Y. for several years. After that I worked at an electronic music studio in Hawthorne, N.Y.
