I am a Music Educator with a lot of trumpet playing experience. I have never stopped playing my trumpet. I practice my trumpet as time permits and perform every chance I have. I like to travel and study musical styles and instruments from different countries. I also love the outdoors. I am passionate about instrumental music and want my students to feel the same. If you would like some food for thought from your potential music mentor, I would say this for starters; if you want to strengthen your bond between you and your instrument, and wield it effectively, you have to get in the mindset first. Practice regularly, listen to other musicians that play the same instrument as you, listen to musicians that don't play the same instrument, talk with other musicians, share ideas, live in a world where you eat, sleep, breath, and love music, and be friendly and open minded. An adequate grasp of the fundamentals, along with consistent practice and rehearsal times, lead to a student expediting their abilities.
