Instruments: Trumpet Trombone Euphonium French Horn Tuba

In the first lesson, I assess the student's current ability and also discuss the student's personal goals and interests in music. Based on this information, I create a daily fundamentals routine for the student to use to improve the basic building blocks of playing a musical instrument. I also allow students to bring in music that interests them from solo material and pieces of music from band class. Approximately half of the weekly lesson is spent on fundamental materials that I assign weekly, and the other half is spent on the student's chosen material. Read More

My greatest joy in teaching is seeing my students surpass me and go on to become musicians that love expressing their souls through song! It is my desire to see each student progress at their own rate without stress. first I make it a point to find out why they want to learn and where do they picture themselves going with this ability. Once we have established realistic goals for the student I like to encourage them to try out for competitions and music groups, so that they are exercising their talents effectively. Read More

I love to teach. I love sharing the knowledge and experience that I've accumulated over the years as a Musician. For me the best part is opening my students eyes to the possibilities music has to offer. Its very rewarding to see them grow and not only achieve the goals we set together but to become continually curious about music and life. I love to encourage my students yet I also am not afraid to let them know when they're veered off of the path. Read More
