My teaching experience is very fresh as I only have tutored freshmen in beginner trombone and music theory. I believe if I can teach college music majors trombone I can teach just about anybody. My personal trombone experience is that in high school I studied jazz and learned jazz trombone methods. However, in college I studied mostly classical playing and that would be strongest curriculum. I like to teach one on one with all age groups. I start beginners out on basic methods books to understand them instrument that they are holding and then slowly ease them into more challenging and sophisticated repertoire, including Rochut Etudes, Kopprasch Exercises, Blazhevich, and Blume. In a student's early development I like to introduce solo repertoire and gradually (throughout high school years) introduce a repertoire of Sonatas, Concerti, and excerpts to them. Read More

 I have taught in a variety of musical settings with a wide range of students and abilities. I have taught independently as well as for organizations such as the Youth Orchestra of Central NJ. In 2012 I worked for Camp Encore Coda where I taught trumpet lessons, directed the Symphonic Band, coached jazz combos, and taught music theory/musicianship class.  My experience working as full time music faculty for Camp Encore Coda sparked my graduate research on overnight summer music camp, which has since been presented at three major professional conferences in the music education field at the state, national, and international level.  Read More
