I am a young, passionate, and eager instructor who enjoys working with students of all ages and sharing my love of music. In 2017, I graduated form the University of Dayton with a Bachelor of Arts degree in Music Studies with a focus in Trombone Performance. Being able to learn and perform all over the country has been one of the most phenomenal experiences as a musician. Each summer I volunteer at my local community music camp where I I teach a wide of variety of students who are touching an instrument for the very first time and students who simply want to improve on their skills. Effective music education is both developmentally and culturally appropriate: By working with the student to understand their interests, I hope to provide them with an experience that will enrich their musical and social life outside of the work we do together. Through infancy, I believe Music Learning Theory is effective for developing musical and linguistic skills. I've been teaching privately since I was in high school when I taught beginner trombone and euphonium to middle school and junior high students. I love teaching because it is absolutely incredible watching a beginner blossom into a passionate and talented musician and being there every step of the way to watch their growth. After graduating from college I joined the Peace Corps. I spent 2 years in Tehran, Iran playing in the Tehran Symphony Orchestra. I returned to the U.S. and went back to school to get my Masters degree. I worked as a music teacher in the Bronx, N.Y. for several years. After that I worked at an electronic music studio in Hawthorne, N.Y.
