I began teaching students in college. While I was there I taught seven students all at once. I take pride in providing specific and tailored teaching to each of my students. While student teaching in Frisco I attended many workshops and had many conversations with experienced teachers about how to improve my teaching. I've performed in several orchestras at the college level and competed in a variety of fiddle contests throughout the state of Texas, most recently the Fiddler's Frolics in Hallettsville, Texas. I have been a volunteer after-school violin instructor in the Houston Independent School District (Roosevelt Elementary, Gallegos Elementary, and Martinez Elementary) and local Jewish community centers. I'm also very active in the Houston opera and theater communities and have performed in nearly a dozen productions in the area, often in small accompanying orchestras and as a soprano and/or actress. I have a passion for teaching and have been working with students for three years as a private violin teacher, chamber music counselor, tutor, and teaching assistant in NYC and Texas public schools.
