Our music lesson students will have the opportunity to take lessons from the comfort of their own home or in one of the teachers studios. Careful attention is placed on each student to ensure a custom lesson plan. Our music teachers understand that every student has different needs and abilities and therefore the lessons will be planned with that knowledge in mind.

I believe in making each lesson personal and fun. I pay close attention to how each student learns best. I start with the basics, building solid technique and gradually introducing more challenging pieces. I love incorporating short theory lessons as my students advance, and with my younger students, I play theory games so they can remember music being made fun! While I use traditional method books, such as Suzuki, I also incorporate pieces my students want to learn. (Example: Disney songs). Read More

I began teaching private students in high school, and have been consistently teaching students in my studio for the past five years. Many of my students have gone on to be very successful in youth orchestras, school programs, and music conservatories. During my senior year at university, I had the opportunity to serve as a faculty member for my university's pre-college music program. I usually begin with the Suzuki method for both children and adults, and once the student has a good command of fundamental violin technique, we progress in the style of the student's primary interest. I am very open to teaching a variety of styles, and can put together a detailed lesson plan for any direction the student may choose. In the event that the student is primarily focused on areas other than the classical repertoire, I definitely begin with Mark O'Connor's violin method that is specifically designed for students interested in traditional folk and fiddle music.
