Our music lesson students will have the opportunity to take lessons from the comfort of their own home or in one of the teachers studios. Careful attention is placed on each student to ensure a custom lesson plan. Our music teachers understand that every student has different needs and abilities and therefore the lessons will be planned with that knowledge in mind.

It is important that each student progresses at their own pace, so I craft custom lessons for each of my students, making sure that whatever their ability level, they are learning to have a passion for music. I encourage this by setting realistic goals for my students at each lesson. My fourteen years as a strings teacher has included both private lessons and public school settings. Many of his students have gone on to be involved in regional orchestras, Houston Youth Symphony, and university orchestras. From 2007 through 2010 orchestras under my care have earned consistent First Division ratings at UIL competitions, including “Sweepstakes” honors in 2008. I enjoy teaching music, and consider it my calling. Having started double bass in college, I began performing with the Fort Worth Symphony after studying two years. When in college in Florida, I served as Principal (first chair) Bass of the Greater Miami Opera, and the Fort Lauderdale Symphony. In graduate school in Michigan, I was Principal Bass of the Flint Symphony. Returning home to Dallas, I performed with the Dallas Symphony, and recorded over a dozen compact discs with the orchestra. For beginners I like to start with the Suzuki Method. But I'm also familiar with other couple methods such as Essential Elements and Essential Techniques for strings book 1-3. In addition to follow a method book, I like to supplement some small pieces from other books as well as incorporate some of the pieces that the student want to learn. Once the student is in the intermediate to advanced level of playing, I like to use the String Basics Book, Carl Flesh Scale Book, Kayser's ,Schradieck, Dont, Kreutzer's 42 Studies, among others a long with some solo repertoire.
