I currently teach high school students piano performance as well as AP music. I studied at the renowned Hartt School of Music, Jackie McLean Institute of Jazz in Hartford CT where I graduated with my bachelors in music with honors. For beginning students I always start by asking what they hope to gain or what attracts them to music. Having an understanding of an individuals needs is the first step.
