Hello! My name is Nathan and I am a saxophonist and teacher who loves sharing my passion for music with others. I am a senior at Capital University where I am working toward a Bachelor of Music degree in Music Industry. With my primary insturment being flute, I began teaching private lessons in 2008 while I was still in high school. I taught the younger flute students in the Worthington School Distrct. When I started college, I continued to teach flute lessons and I then began teach saxophone lessons as well. I start all students with getting a firm grasps of the basics of tone production and air support. I do this through long tone exercises as well as scale work to start learning more notes on the instrument. I focus on slowing incorporating more dynamics, articulation, and time signatures from there. I then start to tailor instruction to goals the student has, whether that be for a school ensemble, a solo performance, or other musical goal such has playing in a gigging band. Read More

William is a retired college professor who taught woodwinds at the college level for over 25 years. He is an accomplished recitalist on both clarinet and saxophone. He earned the Master of Music degree in clarinet performance from the University of Akron and the Ph.D. in musicology from Kent State University.
