Once I got to high school and I started to get serious about music, I began teaching private lessons to middle school and other high school students. By the time I was in college, I was capable of teaching lessons to students of any age or skill level. I grew up taking private clarinet lessons in the Seminole county area, all the way through high school before I studied under Dr. Lynn Musco and Mrs. Jessica Speak at Stetson University. While pursuing my studies, I took various pedagogical classes such as Woodwind methods, and Pedagogy for Musicians, both of which I received A+'s in for my final grade. I've found that presenting multiple solutions to varying problems gives the students the best chance to succeed and it's not that someone cannot learn, they just haven't been presented with an explanation they can understand and clicks for them.
