As a result of those experiences, I built a private studio of trombone students made up of my classmates and have maintained a private studio ever since. I stress knowing scales, chords, inversions like the back of your hand to enable you to put them together just as we put the English language together. During my time at the university, I had the opportunity to broaden my perspective on the trombone by studying with several of the trombone faculty.
