I began teaching in high school, working with elementary and middle school students. Through this experience, I discovered my passion for helping others discover music. In my first full-time teaching position, I was able to to lead the Greenland (AR) High School band to the ASBOA Sweepstakes Award, the highest honor for a school band in that state. I started teaching my first student in 2008 when I was studying at the University of Washington. Since then my studio has really taken off and I find that I love teaching more and more! I have coached advanced adult students and taught many children (some starting as early as 5 years old).
