Developing a consistent practice schedule is key, and I do my best to make sure that I provide students with practice materials that are necessary, fun, and leave enough space for them to engage their own musical curiosities. My teaching experience dates back to my college days, as I began teaching private lessons part time about 10 years ago, and have been consistently teaching students in my home studio for the last 5 years. Encouraging regular practice on a consistent schedule is one of the key points I like to emphasize for younger students, as it tends to help the student progress and gain a passion for the instrument. I've also found that a combination of different styles of music can go a long way in helping students enjoy the drums, and motivate them to practice and continue to learn. Read More

Every child has their own way of learning. Some are visual, others aural, verbal or kinesthetic. As a teacher I will adapt my lessons to each child needs. The basic structure of the lesson is review/present the new concept, apply it and at the end of the lesson discuss the new given homework for the following lesson. I will go to the student pace. I also take into account their reason of learning music and no matter what I try to make lessons interesting and fun for them. Read More
