I have been singing since the age of 10 when she first began performing at some of her father’s piano concerts. Graduating from both Lawrence University and Alverno College, she studied vocal performance, music education, and French. My favorite vocal genres include Broadway, Classical, Pop, Light Opera, and Jazz. My teach experience began in my freshman year of college when I worked as a string/theory instructor at the Lake Country Conservatory of Music in Oconomowoc, Wisconsin where I worked with students of all ages and skill levels. I have worked as a private instructor for almost eight years now and have only grown to love it more with every lesson that I conduct. I always figure out where a student is at, and prefer to grow off the student's strengths as opposed to harping on their weaknesses. I have been in lessons before where teachers couldn't get past the smallest details, and these ruined the experience for me, as well as greatly affected what I was able to accomplish in my lessons. The opposite is also true, in that I have had teachers that haven't even informed me of a weakness that I had, and I wasn't able to improve because of it. Read More
