When I meet new students, I start by figuring out where they are on their journey, and I meet them there. I approach each lesson uniquely, because we are all different and learn in different ways. I teach with a combination of Lesson and Theory books, usually Alfred's Basic, and we will focus on healthy playing technique. I recommend that younger students take advantage of the Activity and Ear Training book that is a part of Alfred's Prep Course.
