I encourage this by setting realistic goals for my students at each lesson. Acknowledging accomplishments helps fuel a students desire to progress, and makes students eager to learn more. Ambient Studios Producer/Engineer David P. began piano lessons at age eight. During his high school years, he began playing drums and singing at shows around the greater Cincinnati area. David began composing and producing commercial music shortly after graduating high school, working for Panoptic Media. There he created jingles and soundtracks for films, videos, commercials and documentaries. I began playing piano at 3 years old. I started playing trumpet at 9 years old joining various community orchestras, drum and bugle corps, grammer/highschool bands. When I was 14 or so I started playing string instruments including the guitar and bass guitar, moved to Boston in my early twenties and studied at Berkeley College of Music . In 1990 I relocated to Europe where I performed and taught in various cities including Paris,Berlin and Amsterdam..By the turn of the century I was back in New York City living on the lower East side where I heard lots of afro-cuban music as well as more experimental forms..
