I had worked with a public primary school’s students and had some experience to work with 6 classes (each contains 60 students) before I earned a Bachelor's Degree during required practical training. Through explaining music knowledge to children from 6-year-olds to 12-year-olds I learned to communicate with people with patient explanations and the deep understanding of people’s situations. I began playing piano at 3 years old. I started playing trumpet at 9 years old joining various community orchestras, drum and bugle corps, grammer/highschool bands. When I was 14 or so I started playing string instruments including the guitar and bass guitar, moved to Boston in my early twenties and studied at Berkeley College of Music . In 1990 I relocated to Europe where I performed and taught in various cities including Paris,Berlin and Amsterdam..By the turn of the century I was back in New York City living on the lower East side where I heard lots of afro-cuban music as well as more experimental forms.. My Masters Degree -Flute Performance is from The University of Michigan where I studied with Leone Buyse as a full scholarship student.While in Michigan, I had a large studio of private students in many local high schools.I taught at college music preparatories and privately while in Cleveland, Ohio where I studied with piccoloist William Hebert at Baldwin Wallace College Conservatory of Music, also under scholarship. My Bachelors Degree in Flute Performance was achieved at The Peabody Institute of Music where I studied with Mark Sparks.Some of my international experience includes performing as a concerto soloist, recitals, orchestral musician andteachingmaster classes in China, Central and South America, Europe, Mexico and the USA.
