My name is Samuel and I am an Ohio born guitarist who emigrated to Los Angeles in 2008 to attend the Guitar Institute of Technology. I have already been playing for years, and studying with GIT teachers such as Jeff Marshall, Daniel Gilbert, Dale Turner. At the same time, I performed in jam bands. For all students, I begin with classical fundamentals such as body alignment, breath support, and resonance and moving to topics including diction, vocal health, interpretation, and stage presence. I will work with the student to find repertoire that will best fit their voice, help achieve their musical goals, and be aligned with what they enjoy musically. I would love to find opportunities for students to perform their repertoire and show what they have learned whether that is a private recital for family and friends or a voice competition. Read More

For begining guitar, bass, and key board students I generally work with several method books, and supply supplimentary materials as required. I believe that each student is unique, and what works for one student might not be sutiable for another.
