I also teach at Music & Arts in Orchard Park, and serve as the primary instructor for the Hispanic Heritage Council Guitar Initiative. My method changes depending on the person. Everyone will begin with learning their basic major scales and then we'll proceed to minor and diminish. Arpeggios will also be included in scale warm up to help with muscle memory. Depending on the level, I will then pick an etude book to further their technique. I am from a traditional classical singing background. I use vocal exercises to not only strenghen the voice but to build a strong singing foundation. Hopefully, by the end of the lessons there will be no need for a microphone. For young singers we will focus on classic tradional basic song literature as well as have fun with popular music. Adults can bet that I will help them fine tune and build a sound and secure vocal technique for what ever repertoire they are needing guidance on. Read More
