I want students to walk away from lessons inspired and excited, and never defeated. I expect a lot from my students and ask a lot of them, but this is because I believe that students are only truly happy when they can see their progress. When a student is encouraged to get out of their comfort zone, and when they experience their own musicality to its highest potential, I believe that a student will be motivated to continue learning and excelling. I create my lesson plans to each individual student, depending on their age and experience. I believe the Circle of Fifths is one of the most important pieces of music theory and is fundemental in the learning process. I also want to get them to understand how to read music, but also to learn how to listen to music so they can develop their ear. I also try to get my students to understand progressions and how they can write their own songs. Read More

I'm a passionate and motivated instructor who loves working with students and sharing my love of music. In 2016, I graduated from Belmont University with a Bachelor of Music degree in Vocal Performance. I'm a passionate and motivated instructor who loves working with students and sharing my love of music. In 2005 I graduated from The Players School of Music. Performing with my favorite musicians and releasing my own music has been some of the greater experiences of my life as a musician, and I've had the opportunity to play with my biggest influences and call them my colleagues. My hope is that the students I have will be able to have the same type of experiences by applying the tools I give them in their lessons. Read More
